What is a 0h gamejam?
During the the Daylight-Saving-Time hour shift, clocks are shifted backwards resulting in an extra hour in between 2:00 am and 2:00 am. Sound’s weird right? The experience is the following: The moment the clock normally switches from 2:59 am to 3:00 am, the clock jumps back to 2:00 am and a complete new hour is born.
Some people were (probably) amazed by this and thought: let’s make a game during that time, a game made in 0 hours. And to the 0h gamejam was born.
What did I do during the last 0h gamejam?
Well I was in the middle of my Galaxy Simulation Project and thought it would be fun to write a little game in Golang. I had no Idea what to build and thought building a small dungeon crawler couldn’t be that hard.
Turns out that it was quite fun and in the end I had a (really) minimal working example.
If you want to try the game, you can find it on my git here. There are prebuilt binaries fror linux, mac and arm provided in the corresponding folders.
